McSilver Visiting Scholar Dr. Susan Stern will discuss implementing evidence-based parenting programs in diverse community contexts and settings. She will draw on research conducted across early learning centers in Toronto and a dissemination study of an evidence-based parenting program for Aboriginal Canadian caregivers in northern Ontario.

 

With two different programs from these studies as illustrations, she will explore unique and shared aspects of the array of existing evidence-based parenting programs and potential implications for increasing implementation of similar programs given their promise for strengthening families and improving children’s mental health.
